The
band is looking forward to the 2007- 2008 season. We have strong
musical leadership from Pipe Major Angus MacPherson and a new
lead drummer in Cam Bullis. Cam is a former Juvenile Solo World
Champion and led the RMM Juvenile band to a World title. Cam
is also a very good piper, and we are looking forward to a quality
ensemble sound. We have introduced some new players to the tenor
corps and have Randi Otto playing bass. Our snare line is smaller
than last year but should be very competitive. In the pipe section,
we were sad to see our Portland contingent leave. After seven
years with MRPB they have formed their own Grade Three band
in the Portland area. We wish them the best of luck. Fortunately
we have had a few new players join the band and a couple of
our vets return. We will have, once again,a strong pipe section
for the summer games circuit.
